Still more speculation on the Van Halen tribute that may or may not have been or may still be, or just may never be at all! How long ago did Joe Satriani, Alex Van Halen, and Dave all speak? And what about Sammy Hagar? Plus, members of Dave's most-recent band have recently been posting on Instagram from Henson Studios...why? Also, the myriad of things Dave turned down through the years and "Dave and confused."
This week's interview is with actor, musician, TV host, philanthropist and legendary sumo wrestler Konishiki. He was the first non-Japanese-born wrestler to reach ōzeki, the second-highest possible rank in the sport. During his career he won the top division championship on three occasions and came very close to becoming the first foreign-born grand champion, or yokozuna. If you saw Dave's 2013 short film Tokyo Story, Konishiki played Big Brother. Darren talks with him about that, the WWE, his amazing success in sumo, being born and raised in Hawaii, and much more. And yes, that's him pictured within the artwork of Big Ones by Aerosmith.

This episode, Darren has a great interview with singer Durga McBroom! Durga also appears in Dave's first 3 videos: "California Girls," "Yankee Rose" and "Just A Gigolo." She spoke about how she ended up doing that; why despite being an amazing vocalist she never sang on a DLR record, the perfect woman for Dave, a big mystery solved about the "Yankee Rose" video, Pete Angelus, "...not if you were the last immigrant grocer on earth, honey," some really strange stuff with little people, and much more.
Durga McBroom has performed with Pink Floyd, David Gilmour, Billy Idol, acted in multiple movies, was a founder of the band Blue Pearl, and regularly performs as half of the McBroom Sisters, with her sister Lorelei McBroom.

Melissa played on songs heard in the David Lee Roth's "No Holds Bar-B-Que" film, as well as appearing on-camera. Melissa talks reheasing with the band, recording Dave's cover of Electric Light Orchestra's "Shine A Little Love," Van Halen's "Mean Street," being comfortable on-set, and Dave's interest in learning the violin, and what she's up to now!

This week's guest is awesome: Linda Reissman, who trained David Lee Roth as an Emergency Medical Technician in New York, in the early 2000's. Linda talks about training Dave, his dedication, work ethic, professionalism, and why he wanted to be an EMT. Linda worked for Dave for a bit and was also one of the sidekicks you heard on his short-lived radio morning show. If you were ever curious about Dave's time as an EMT, you have to give this a listen!
